Rijasolo is an artist, photographer, and journalist of Malagasy origin. Through his often black and white photos, he denounces the difficult living conditions and social issues faced by the inhabitants of his country. He captures the state of the world that needs to be addressed. Born in France, Rijasolo decided to reconnect with Madagascar in 2004, his country of origin that he had not revisited for over 20 years. In 2011, he settled there permanently to become a correspondent for international press. On March 24, 2022, he received the World Press Photo Award in the Africa category for his black and white photo series on the dahalo, entitled "The Zebu War".
